Carrico Victim of Confidence Game

J. M. Carrico, a Vinita native returning home from Iowa, met a stranger in Parsons Kansas who posed as the cashier of First National Bank and offered a draft for 1500. Carrico lent 110 and received a questionable draft as security. On the train the man disappeared with no sign of the cashier or his supposed sister, and Carrico alerted Sheriff Ridenhour.
