Associated Press reports Topeka August 30. The board of control after an investigation says there were no grounds for charges raised by a woman physician against J W Charles superintendent of the state Industrial school for boys. Charles will be retained.
Eleven people were injured when a Santa Monica street car jumped the track and crashed into a telegraph pole. Five are seriously hurt and one may die, with nearly everyone on board affected.
