Godfrey testifies before the special committee on the Cherokee selling lands at Sulphur where six hundred Indians signed contracts. Lawton attorney says Creager remark was a request for money. UKE TAMON testifies again before the committee.
Testimony before a congressional committee alleges that Ay Associated Press reports indicate six hundred Indians met at Sulphur Oklahoma to sign McMurray land contracts with promises of government action and large fees. James H Godfrey claims he urged Indians to sign for profit and to press Washington for expedited sale while attorney fees and ten dollar tax-case contracts were also signed.
Pyot J. C. Malone was installed as superintendent of the Oklahoma State home at Pryor Creek. He has served on the Ferris Institute faculty in Ferrin Texas for several years and is regarded as a capable man. The Pryor Creek home for bays is rapidly taking shape.
In a near unanimous vote the state granted a gas franchise to R. J. Lambert and associates under the new grandfather clause. A colored schoolteacher barely qualified under the law after passing the test. A collision near Kenopé, Kansas killed Martin Blackwood of Indiana and C. T. Hanley of Palloo, with Blackwood’s son present. Miss Nelle Davis returns from Springfield, Missouri.
Creager testified he asked McMurray for four thousand dollars but a loan was never made. McMurray said he could not give money due to pending legislation in Congress. Creager described a potential business deal involving security, while McMurray denied any insistence on financial help.
AP dispatch from New York reports a morning bulletin on Mayor Gaynor. He rested since five oclock and has taken nourishment. Doctors deem his condition serious but hopeful with no operation needed at this time though infection risk remains possible. Surgeons unanimously agree no operation is required presently.

Joe Little from Ramone visits with his father Col W M Little. R B Thompson of Beggs spends the day on city business. L W Dugger from Welch was in town last night. Harvey Smith comes from Muskogee late. Misses Geneva and Anna Campbell visit from Carthage to stay with their father for a few days. L S Campbell and relatives are hosted by Ro Wight this afternoon.
Oklahoma City's leaders present a pledge offering the state $2,000,000 in cash for a capitol site and 20 acres of land, with further land buys and bonds to back good faith. The move, led by C G Jones and supported by business interests and the Chamber of Commerce, aims to place the capitol on Section 16, center tract, funded by jet revenues and a $500,000 bond, contingent on Governor Haskell's decision.

A Muskogee Oklahoma plan seeks to advertise the state properly and coordinate a large eastern Oklahoma exhibit near the onion depot. The effort aims to attract homeseekers from the southwest by showing Oklahoma crops and products and by sending a representative from each participating town to assist visitors.
Dan Myers used balloons marked with goods orders as an advertising stunt. Each balloon carried an attached order, and finders were entitled to the item. Balloons traveled up to nine miles, with some landing in town. Plus, about twenty five couples danced at the Auditorium last night to Meres, Chouteau, Hurst, and Bottenfield.
