Kansas City August 4 Charlie Jones a negro janitor at the Bank of Sulphur was arrested on a charge of stealing 84,000. He spent the money freely among locals in the negro quarters and was found with 260 dollars. His wife received 2,250 and confessed where the rest was hidden. Three thousand five hundred dollars was buried at her old Sulphur home. The bank was notified and the money recovered after a late night break-in.
