Elkton Town Manager Position Still Vacant After Feb 2016
Elkton continues without a permanent town manager as the council weighs nine candidates while Printz acts as town manager. Public questions focus on form of government and salary savings cited by Printz, who argues operations improved under council oversight. EPIC commemorates 30 years of service with $1 million raised for town projects.

Rezoning hearing backs expansion and Preston Lake changes
At a public hearing about rezoning to A-2 for agricultural use and a shop, the Planning Commission unanimously supported the rezoning though opposing views were voiced. The Board of Supervisors will consider a special-use permit with limits such as a maximum six vehicles waiting outside. The board will also vote on Preston Lake mixed-use development tweaks, including removing 10 percent open space and reducing the building-to-trutter buffer from 75 to 50 feet, with staff recommending approval after a hearing. Public session followed by a 7 p.m. hearing at the County Administration Center.
