Elkton Hit by Water Pump Failures and Main Break
Elkton faced widespread water outages after two pumps failed at Stonewil Memorial Park and Elkwood, with an 8 inch main break near Terrace Avenue nearly draining the reservoir. On Wednesday residents and businesses from central to northeast Elkton reported no toilet flushes or faucet flow, while Ciro's and Journeys Crossing struggled with low pressure. Mayor Roy Davis, Councilman Jay Dean, and Public Works Director Timmy Turner coordinated efforts as residents phoned town hall for help.
