Rockets rise at Elkton church and scout event
Youth from Elkton Seventh-day Adventist Church and Elkton Cub Scout Pack 181 joined families and leaders to launch 12 inch rockets after noon Sunday from Elkton Middle School football field. The rockets were painted and decorated for the annual event.

The Elkton Welcome Center at 306 West Spotswood Avenue now welcomes visitors Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new board seeks volunteers for weekly weekday and Sunday coverage. Kurds Celebrate New Year Choni At Elkton VFW Post

Volunteers powered a Shenandoah Page One fundraiser at the Shenandoah Community Center on Railroad Avenue. Tola Ogundipe, a Nigerian Yoruba native with degrees in chemistry from Nigeria, teaches at East Rockingham High School and Spotswood.
