Farmer Minor brings pig Daisy to Elkton schools for Reading Month
Retired Bristol executive Paul Minor toured Elkton Elementary and River Bend Elementary with a 100-pound pot-bellied pig named Daisy. The show featured down home narration, memory tapes, and audience interaction as Daisy lounged in a baby carriage and accepted treats from students and Principal Jacki Nickel. The visit was funded by a Title I grant arranged by Becky Davenport of the Rockingham County School District, and drew cheers from children.
