Elkton Council hikes water sewer and electric rates
Elkton residents will face 1.6 percent rises in water and sewer charges and a 4 percent increase in electric rates while trash collection rates are not raised. The 3-2 vote, with Printz and Isom dissenting on certain items, also approves a $5.375 million budget effective July 1. A first reading on a noise ordinance was heard with a second reading planned for July 21.
