Shenandoah Veterans Park progresses in Virginia Avenue town
Shenandoah Mayor Clinton O. Lucas Jr praises the new Shenandoah Veterans Park on Virginia Avenue. The design features five granite service stones for Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard plus a taller stone with the American flag, crosswalks, flag poles, and planned brick walls engraving names and service dates. Funded by Christ United Methodist Church auctions and donations, the project includes planned benches, lighting, murals, and a fall auction to fund bricks and amenities.
