Monument aims to honor displacement with chimney tribute
Rockingham County residents displaced by the park will be honored with a stone chimney memorial at EACC south of U S 33 Swift Run Gap. The project will feature four displays on living on the mountain schools churches family and community life and a fifth on displacement. Funding seeks grants and corporate support as a survey and foundation must be arranged with state and local authorities.
