Elkton to shift trash delivery and fund sewer upgrades
The Elkton town council approved delivering trash to Harrisonburg instead of the Rockingham landfill, saving up to 25 thousand dollars annually. The DEQ loan funds sewer work including camera equipment and gravity line repairs to meet demands from two new schools and Downey Knolls. Council also extended terms for local boards and discussed sidewalk and bike path plans along Blue and Gold Drive.
