Elkton Christmas Tree Lighting Opens Celebrations
Elkton held its 25th annual Christmas Tree Lighting at the Town Hall with Santa's visit. Councilman Harry Armbruster greeted hundreds as the tree on Rockingham Street glowed with lights and 451 love bows, decorated by the Women’s Society. Children added decorations while Matt Sparks played music and Lori Shifflett led the songs. At 7 p.m. the lights flashed on and Santa arrived from a red Elkton fire truck to start the season.
