The McGaheysville Volunteer Fire Company's annual lawn party parade drew several hundred spectators along a two mile route last Friday evening. More than 100 vehicles joined in, including fire and rescue units from about a dozen jurisdictions, off-road cars and trucks, three twirling groups, campaign cars, beauty queens, service trucks, and wagons carrying local athletic teams. Candy was handed out to children as they lined the road. Scott Dearing attended with his wife and daughter Reagan, enjoying the outing and a joke about escaping the holler.
