Pleads Own Case and Wins in Civil Suit
Btradford of the city gains prominence in the legal profession by representing Limeelf in a civil suit over a note dated 30 days earlier due to a mortgage mix up. Watson Punished for Beating a Black Man in Public Fight
In a municipal court session Judge Clark fined TR Watson $50 and jailed him ten days for an unprovoked assault on C. T. Hamilton, a Black man, at a North Cincinnati avenue pool hall. Watson fled after a gun threat and was arrested after a foot chase. the judge stressed equal rights of Black people in court and dismissed prosecutors' inconsistent testimony.
