Tulsa colored citizens honor Dr. H Wilson of Memphis and Dr. H Johnston of Coweta after a groundbreaking operation saving Mrs. K. M. Cherry. The banquet featured many local physicians and officials, celebrating a remarkable surgical feat and the unity of Black medical professionals in Oklahoma.

No Negroes on Jury Condemned Man Receives New Trial

Governor Cox considers a case in Columbus Ohio where a condemned man’s attorney argues that no Afro American men were in the jury box violating the fifteenth amendment. The judge’s decision awaited as attorneys say the trial may be illegal and could affect numerous Afro American prisoners awaiting or serving sentences. The White Grand Lodge of the Odd Fellows convened in Tulsa city Monday and Tuesday drawing hundreds of members. The convention was held in the New Convention hall. The Ke hod assembly elected two Tulsa women, Mary Hansel as trustees and Lucy Gardner to the board. B. B. Cine was elected a Grand Lodge officer.
