Texarkana Big Chorus Delights Sunday White Audience
Prof H ESP Johnson of Nashville leads a 200-voice chorus in An Evening With Negro Composers in Texarkana on October 19. White attendance is strong as the program features folk and art songs by Negro composers. The success prompts a Sacred Concert for a thousand next Sunday, marking a historic first for a Negro choir before white Texarkana audiences.
