Tulsa Star defended by lawyer letter over Burr libel claim
A 1920 Tulsa Star article about Professor Burr prompts a denouncing letter from his lawyers, arguing the piece libels Burr and harms his reputation. The editor responds defending publication, asserting Burr’s conduct and public stance justify reporting and noting Burr’s ongoing impact on Tulsa schools. The Tulsa World commentary questions the paper's stance and recounts political criticism of current leadership.
