Recipients include Hoover McAdoo Butler Palmer Hitchcock Cox Harding Underwood Pershing Wood Lowden Johnson Poin deater and Coolidge among others.

Negroes were committed to jail after a preliminary hearing before United States commissioner Yancey as principals in an attempted robbery of a box car on the Frisen railroad. A special officer, Edward Husey, was killed during a pistol battle as three suspects fired when asked to raise their hands.
