Woman Injured Alighting From Jim Crow Coach

Man Kills Wife in Domestic Tragedy Ends His Life Suspect Injured
Dr. W J Woods, a mechano therapy practitioner, shot and killed his wife Mamie Woods at their home 402 North Greenwood after a domestic dispute. He fled to a Ford sedan pursued and shot at by Mrs. Woods who was also firing. Woods then killed her with a final shot, claimed he had killed his wife, and was wounded in the hip during arrest. He received hospital treatment and faced a preliminary hearing. The body was sent to Nowats by Jackson Undertaking.
