Summer schools for Negro teachers outlined

Of fourteen summer schools for colored teachers reporting 2121 students to the U S Commissioner of Education in 1912 four were in Virginia with 57 men and 608 women attending. Hampton led with 346 students and Tuskegee Alabama with 304 headed the list.

New Negro School Superintendent Seeks Building for Training

Superintendent Oberholtzer praises Black voters for support of the school bond and asks Tulsa city commissioners for funds to construct an East End school building and equip it for Manual training and Domestic Science.
