Park Board Organized to Improve City Park for Colored People
A municipal Park Board was formed at the Star office Monday night to oversee land bought last year for improvements and a park for colored residents. The board names A J Bullerman as president and Capt TD Jackson as vice president with Prof J W Hughen secretary and J H Goodwin treasurer. An Improvement committee includes Lathon, J B Stratford and Bitty Me Gio. The group aims to advance park improvements and secure funding, with a report planned for Monday meeting at the Star.
