Collision east of Taber sends several to hospital
Taber Vauxhall RCMP investigated a two vehicle crash on August 24 about 7 10 p.m. seven kilometres east of Taber on Highway 3. A car pulled onto the shoulder and attempted a U turn, was struck by a eastbound minivan. The car driver and three passengers were taken to hospital. two of them were later released. The minivan driver and a passenger were hospitalized for observation. Drugs and alcohol were not factors and the incident remains under investigation.

Alberta Sheriffs Crack Down Over Labour Day Weekend
The Alberta Sheriff Highway Patrol reported 2 468 charges from Friday to Monday including 1 941 speeding violations 82 seatbelt infractions and 339 non hazardous violations. 11 suspected impaired drivers were removed and three arrest warrants were served as 105 traffic sheriffs patrol the province.
