Taber Public Library Adapts Through Decades Of Change
The Taber library expanded services in the 80s and 90s with Beta and VHS videos, books on tape, and a shifting shift from records to CDs. An inter library loan system formed in 1992 linking multiple towns, then joined Chinook Arch in 1993, expanding access to southern Alberta libraries. A new building was planned for 2006 amid space constraints and possible relocation near the fire hall or Confederation Park.
