Community Kite Fly Party set for Ken McDonald Park Saturday

The annual Community Kite Fly Party returns to Ken McDonald Memorial Sports Park this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Organizer Michael Rose notes April winds are often volatile but hopes for good weather and winds for a day of family friendly kite flying with instruction and demo kites available.

4-H District Show and Sale preview at Taber Agri-Plex

The annual 4-H District Show and Sale comes to Taber this Friday and Saturday with six beef clubs showing and selling steers and two clubs featuring sheep from Hays Bon Ayr and Taber New Ewe. About 73 steers weigh in before sale while roughly 20 sheep are shown and sold with sales per head. The event runs Friday 1 pm show and Saturday 8:30 am steer judging 9 am sheep, 10:30 am female class, 1:30 pm district awards, 2 pm sale backed by southern Alberta community support.
