Budget puts 2.2 billion in Quebec under GST reform
The March 22 budget boosts Quebec by 2.2 billion to help reform its sales tax toward the GST model. It also ends the 2 per vote subsidy for federal parties and adds about 300 million for increased aid to low income seniors starting July 1, about 50 dollars per person.

Taber teen airlifted after Rocky Mountain House race
15 year old Brett Forchuk of Taber a Grade 9 student at W R Myers High School was airlifted to Edmonton and placed on life support after an ATV Triple Crown Series Round 1 race in Rocky Mountain House RCMP say the call came in about 1 50 PM on Saturday. Friends and family posted prayers on Facebook and a group Praying for Brett Forchuk was started.

Relay For Life in Taber shatters local fundraising record
Taber Relay For Life 2011 raised 137000 dollars far surpassing the 103000 goal, setting a new local record. Co-chair Angie Angle praised the indoor venue change and a strong turnout of teams including a first year group from Vauxhall Elementary that raised over 7500 dollars.
