Grassy nativity pageant entering 33rd straight year
The Grassy Lake Live Outdoor Nativity Pageant prepares to begin its 33rd year with four shows on Sunday and four more Monday at the Grassy Lake LDS Church. LeRon Torrie, in charge for 32 years, notes volunteers from 30 to 40 people, including youth from the Grassy Lake congregation, help run the production with evolving sets and lighting. Crowd turnout often reaches 400-500 from Tabor, Bow Island, Vauxhall, Lethbridge, and Coutts, with free refreshments inside between performances.
