AltaLink keeps its preferred route for the Picture Butte to Etzikom Coulee transmission line after re examining routing. The company plans a north south crossing of Highway 3 near Cranford in the MD of Tabor while weighing residential and environmental impacts along with costs and cell tower constraints. Local landowners have been consulted since January 2011 with more than 500 meetings and six open houses as the Alberta Utilities Commission will decide the final routing in 2013.
