Barnwell trims annexation to 71 acres amid opposition
The Village of Barnwell revises its annexation plan after public input and MD Taber approval. Landowners were offered letters of approval while opposed parcels and lagoon buffer zones are excluded. Tax terms for 10 years favor Barnwell, with MD Taber applying its rate. Development expected near town, aided by a new water treatment plant and a second wind farm.
