Contract Set for Building of New Traction Station
Pairmont May 27 General Manager E Blaine Moore announced the Monongahela Valley Traction Company has set a contract with EB Hiard a prominent Ohio contractor to build a new Clarksburg terminal station in Fairmont. The structure at Fourth Street and the Glen Elk bridge will cost about 75000 and include a one story concrete building a four track train shed modern waiting rooms offices and freight facilities with upper floors for company offices and future expansion.

Charleston May 27 News in rail circles says negotiations are pending for the Western Maryland Railroad Company to acquire the Coal and Coke railroad. A closed deal would create a direct Charleston Baltimore route, shortening travel from southern West Virginia to eastern cities. The Baltimore and Ohio railroad is not negotiating for Coal and Coke holdings.
