Georgetown area VFW Post 8587 honored two students for countywide scholarship essay contests. East View High School cadet Shamma McDonald won the audio Voice of Democracy prize, $1000, for Is America Today Our Forefathers Vision, with Joshua Dance of Benold Middle School winning Patriot's Pen, $500, for My Voice in Americas Democracy.
