Sheriff Recaptures Dively After Nebraskas Chase

Sheriff John Anderson of Perkins County recaptured fugitive Dively in Jessup Iowa after a night confrontation. Dively, jailed in Bison for jail breaking, had fled through Nebraska and Pennsylvania, amassing over 1200 in cash and drafts. He will be taken to Bison for hearing before Aberdeen for safekeeping.

Woman's Club Plans Aid for Needy in Lemmon

Owing to crop failures many locals lack funds for winter needs. The Woman's club of Lemmon will collect staple food and clothing for distribution from L. E. Tillotson’s office starting Saturdays, with names of recipients to be provided by the public. Also notes community notices and local visits.
