Lemmon marks Memorial Day with a parade starting at Smith's Opera House at 1:00 a.m. Led by the Lemmon Band, it travels First Avenue West to First Street, Main, Sixth Street, back to Smith's Opera House for exercises. Sunday services at First Presbyterian will feature a Memorial Day address by Rev. W. C. Williams. Lemmon City Council Names New Officials and Sets Salaries
Last week the Lemmon city council filled the vacant seat left by Wm H Nesbitt, appointing W G Hoisington after a council election. A G Macomber B R Watt Walter Sawyer received long terms. Hosington Olsen and N H Miller short terms. Mayor F A Finch announced appointments: City Auditor W W Webb City Attorney E C Kurtz. The council set salaries: Auditor 200, City Attorney 3200, Treasurer 210, and Mayor and Aldermen 15 each annually. The meeting adjourned to discuss administration and park improvements.
