A Valparaiso report says the fugitive Chilean president may seek refuge in a foreign legation or monastery, with the Junta threatening monasteries. In Washington, Montt heads the new government and U S recognition could restore cordial relations between the two nations.
Manager Baily of the Winston Blues arranged a 17 game championship series with Richmond. Five games in Richmond start next Tuesday, five in Winston on the 23rd, and seven at the Southern Exposition in October. Scores from recent games include Boston beating Cleveland 8 6 and 9 2, Brooklyn 4 Cincinnati 6, Pittsburgh rain postponed, Washington 3 Columbus 4 and 7 8.
