Ordination and notices from Shelby and Raleigh

At the Baptist church in Shelby Rev. John W. Suttle will be ordained a minister. Gov. Holt shows improvement and may leave his room. Prof. J. H. Kinealy to lecture at the agricultural and mechanical college on the 27th evening. Rev. J. P. Barrett, D. D., is seriously ill at his brother’s in Virginia. Officer Harry Lewellen of the police force suffers a hemorrhage with consumption. His father C. H. Lewellen, Sr. arrived from Durham. Mrs. Rev. Dr. John S Prim rose injured from a fall on ice in Missouri. permanent lameness feared. Prof. J. O. Atkinson and Elon College men carried Rev. D. M. Williams’ remains to Youngsville for burial today. Walter R. Heary of Vance County received 194 votes for elector-at-large, with nomination by Wm. Shaw. Henry expected to stand for the district elector. At Good Shepherd church next Wednesday George W. Blackwall Jr. of Waterbury will marry Miss Ella Whitehead of Raleigh. Blackwall, connected with Randolph & Clowes brass works, has found success in Waterbury.
