Stock Market Mixed Despite Calm Opening on Exchange

In Menxmis Tennessee on May 6 E W Carmack was arrested in the Birmingham train smoker for sending a challenge to W A Collier. Collier and two friends fled the depot in a carriage as Deputy Sheriff App pursued them, firing and missing. They boarded a sleeper and the train departed toward Holly Springs where a duel is planned. Carmack was held in court. Collier and companions face arrest when returned.
