River and Harbor Bill debated in Senate session

Conference adjourned as alliance debates political stance

Opera House Planned for City Center With Modern Design

A bold project outlines an Opera House at the southwest corner of West Martin and South Salisbury streets. The three story brick structure will feature a 1150-seat auditorium, modern orchestra and balcony, ample stores on the first floor, and extensive stage facilities. The design by architect A G Bauer promises tasteful interiors with electric and gas lighting.
