Reports from Asiatic Turkey describe widespread cholera in many districts along the lower Tigris and the Shet El Arab. Villages deserted as residents flee, and 70,000 people have fled Bassora province.
The day featured alumni memorial addresses in Gerrard Hall with references to Joseph A. Davis, and the class day program including an oration, a poem, and prophecies by graduates. Six robbers with drawn Winchesters raided the Peoples Bank in Rogers Arkansas and left with about $10 000 in cash and gold.
