General Assembly Proceedings Report for January 21 1893
The North Carolina Senate opened at 10 o'clock with prayer as various bills and resolutions were introduced or advanced. Several county and municipal charters were debated and passed, including actions on Rocky Mount Mills and Portis, while other measures covered jail fees, stock laws, and local option. In the House, contested Warren county election case reports were discussed, and numerous bills ranging from agricultural statistics to licensing, hunting, pensions, and local charters were introduced, referred, or debated before adjournment.
