Deathly Flames Claim Young Miss in North Carolina

In Wristos North Carolina on February 20 a 15 year old daughter of a Middle Fork farmer died from severe burns after her clothing caught fire in front of a fireplace. Her father and others attempted to smother the flames with quilts and water but she died at 2 oclock Sunday. Her mother Mrs. Pettis was confined to bed and could not assist. Officials noted bondsmen of ex postmaster Fagg of Madison seek his whereabouts amid a $250 money order under guardianship. Reverend L G Broughton denounced lenient murder sentences in a Broad Street Baptist sermon amid other church notes.
