Unemployed Association Plans Illinois State Convention
The Unemployed and Workers association of Illinois will hold its first state convention in Aurora at the city hall courtroom next Sunday. The program includes action for the year, officer elections, and by law revisions. Proposals urge ending sales tax on food vouchers, boosting food voucher values with price increases, loan relief rules on low value policies, cost-based relief, and taxing untaxed Will County property to ease small taxpayers’ burden.
