Local Doctor Performs Rare Medical Operation

Dr George E Faulkner a young Joliet physician performed a rare heart operation on Charles Jenkins a 24 year old man stabbed by his common law wife. The surgery closed a one and a half inch heart wound with five stitches removing two ribs. Jenkins survived and was improving at St Josephs hospital with good recovery odds. Faulkner a Jefferson Medical College graduate closely supervised the case and has seven years practice in Joliet.
