Orphanages Float Wins First Prize in Joliet Parade
About 60 000 to 70 000 people crowded Joliet's downtown for the Christmas season parade opening led by Santa Claus amid 30 floats six bands a drill team and police. Prizes went to Guardian Angel Home and Lutheran Home for Children first St Patrick's Church second Joliet Exchange Club third. Judges weighed originality holiday spirit and decoration after a long judging process.
