Vaccine arrived this week and will be distributed to 23 Will County school stations run by doctors pharmacists nurses and volunteers. Donations of 50 cents per dose are requested with signed forms. the plan includes May 23 for a second feeding and a Rialto building backup supply.
Cindy Van Gampler, five, crossed ice to pull five-year-old John Lepacek from Hickory Creek near their Washington Street homes. John fell through ice sixteen feet from shore while following his dog Lady. Both children were treated at Silver Cross Hospital. John’s temp dropped to 94 as doctors urged rest for a few days.
