Remember When June 1904 Joliet weddings stirred town
Remember when four prominent Joliet couples wed on June 21 and 22 1904 in a popular June tradition. The piece notes mayoral election conspiracy cases, a barber’s divorce suit, a lavender garden party for Mrs Sandiford and a push for city water and asphalt paving. It also recalls a Chicago track elevation study and a Plainfield Electric Park grocers and butchers picnic.
