A young woman asks Miss Mason for guidance after seven months of long distance love. Her boyfriend left Joliet for Cleveland, sent a diamond and loving letters, then grew distant. She is urged to write him directly, seek truth, avoid self pity, and await his next letter while staying busy and hopeful.
The graduates from St. Joseph's Hospital training school were honored at a banquet at the Louis Joliet Hotel hosted by the hospital's nurse alumnae. Marie Fischer chaired the event with Mary Mc Manus assisting. the class will graduate in late June and includes Martha Sheets, Slenore Watjus, Mary Maloney, Bernice Bentdick, Elizabeth Stefa nich, Dorothy Kenney, Shirley Gage, Jean McCabe, Leonore Vandament, Dorothy Wise, Loden Marchelo, Mary Yuratick, Mary Bertuzi, Ida Mae McLennon, Dorothy Hardy, and Margaret Stonage.
Use a white evening dress to fashion a charming dinner gown. Add a navy blue triple sheer or taffeta fitted jacket styled like a sailors coat. If the dress has a high neck or bulky front, cut off the top and wear the jacket with a long white skirt.
