Army Specialist Third Class John Lopez son of Mr and Mrs Jose Lopez of 1103 Charlesworth avenue recently took part in a 20 day field training exercise with the 10th Infantry division 85th regiment in Germany Lopez a rifleman in the regiments company joined the army in May 1955 completed basic training at Fort Riley Kansas and arrived in Europe the following November The 21 year old attended Joliet Township High school and was formerly employed by the Ruberoid company

Two Brothers Arrested Over Stolen Tools and Fines
Richard and Benjamin Wright were arraigned by Deputy John Shelley on Bernard Sealy's complaint. Sealy, owner of a Theodore street service station, accused them of stealing a log wrench and not paying for two flat tires fixed a week earlier. They were fined 40 dollars each by Justice Anthony Mackay and held in county jail until fines are paid.
