Civil Defense mobilizes 200 bed mobile hospital unit
Joliet Civil Defense announces arrival of a 200 bed emergency hospital unit donated by the Civil Defense Mobilization Authority. The Barrett Hardware plant will store equipment valued at 45000 dollars with space for 400 square feet, expanding to 15000 square feet in a disaster. Rural and village teachers will attend an all day institute Monday January 26 at Manhattan school. County superintendent Verne E Cracker said schools will close for the day.
