Fire at the Fred Munroe farm in Plainfield Township destroyed a 50 by 250 foot aluminum chick house killing about 32,000 chicks. Damage totaled 100000 with 5000 equipment loss and 45000 building damage. Five fire departments fought the blaze and a Plainefield firefighter was injured.
