Joliet High School basketball hosts La Salle-Peru for their only game of the season. Joliet sits bottom in the Big Eight while La Salle Peru rivals Rockford for second. coach Ralph Potter pushes a fast break to spark scoring in the final tilt.
The coach will start Walt Geissler and Pat Theis as forwards Joe Pohlman at center and Roger Fahrner and Al Cook as guards. The lineup signals a balanced attack as the season nears.
The Porters play Blue Islanders at Lockport High School gym tonight at 8 and host Kankakeeans on Saturday in league games. They have lost most games this season and sit near the bottom of the South Suburban league. Coach Fred Rosch has rebuilt the lineup after several graduations but lacks strong substitutes.
